Certain Glow contains 13 songs that I’ve written. The music has a certain Country Rock/ Alt. Country vibe in it. I guess you could call it Americana eventhough I was born and raised in Finland. Influences can be traced back to Neil Young, Gram Parsons and even Hank Williams (let alone Elvis and Mr. Chuck Berry!!!!!). The album is very song orientated. Everything is done for the sake of the song. (God bless Townes van Zandt.)
The musicians are Finland’s finest. There’s Jussi Jaakonaho on guitars, Harri Ala-kojola on drums, Antti Ikola on keyboards and Olli Haavisto on steelguitars and dobro. Backing vocals are sung beautifully by Nina Tapio and Pepe Johansson. The record is produced by Anssi Växby, who also plays bass, piano, acoustic guitars and sings backing vocals. The recordings took place at Playground productions in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki. Some tracks were recorded in various places all over Finland. Mixing was made at Playground by Niklas Nylund. Finally the mastering was done at the Chartmakers by Svante Forsbäck.
I have released the album on my own Cosmic Cowboy Records label and it’s distributed by Pilfink Records.
